Professor KAYODE, Rowland Monday Ojo was born in Aduratedo-Appe, Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State. He had Ordinary Diploma (Science Technology), Higher National Diploma (Microbiology), B.Sc. (Food Science and Technology), Postgraduate Diploma (Food and Industrial Microbiology), M.Tech. (Food Microbiology), Ph.D. (Microbiology). He is a recipient of Postdoctoral Fellowship Award, University of Fort Hare, South Africa; British Council Research Fellowship Award, University of Nottingham, United Kingdom; Pillars of Nation Building Award, Nigeria.
He was appointment Assistant Lecturer in 2008 and Professor in 2021. He has served as Head, Department of Home Economics and Food Science. He is presently appointed Director, Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES). He has supervised Ph.D., M.Sc. and B.Sc. degree projects, and served as External Examiners in many Universities in Nigeria and Abroad. He is a registered member of some professional bodies and has attended international and local conferences, workshops, and seminars. He has published over Ninety articles in reputable journals. He is the founder of ROFEM Analytical Laboratory Nigeria, under which he awards scholarships and education support to indigent, talented and educationally outstanding students. As at June 2025, he had granted more than twenty educational aids to students in tertiary institutions. Professor Kayode is happily married to Mrs. Rebecca O. Kayode and blessed with four children.
