Biography

Prof. KAYODE Rowland Monday Ojo was born in Aduratedo-Appe, Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State. He had an Ordinary Diploma (Science Technology), HND (Microbiology), B.Sc. (Food Science and Technology), PGD (Food and Industrial Microbiology), and M.Tech. (Food Microbiology), Ph.D. (Microbiology). He is a recipient of a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the University of Fort Hare, South Africa; British Council Research Fellowship, University of Nottingham, United Kingdom.
He was appointed Assistant Lecturer in 2008 and Professor in 2021. He has served as Head of the Department of Home Economics and Food Science. He is the current Director of SIWES at the University. He is a registered member of some professional bodies and has attended international and local conferences, workshops, and seminars. He has published over Ninety articles in reputable journals. He is happily married to Rebecca O. Kayode, and blessed with four children.
