Adeshola Ajoke BABAYEJU is a Reader (Associate Professor) in the Department of Home Economics and Food Science, Faculty of Agriculture, with over 30 years of teaching, research, and administrative experience. She served in various capacities both at the faculty and the departmental levels. She was involved in education, research, and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students. Her areas of research interest cover Home Economics, Food and Nutrition, textiles and clothing, family and child, and consumer science. She has to her credit publications in reputable outlets, covering journals and edited conference proceedings. She is deeply committed to integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application, which is reflected in her teaching methods and research contributions. She has successfully supervised over 60 undergraduate projects and 13 master’s dissertations. Dr. Adeshola A. Babayeju is a member of many Learned Professional bodies within and outside Nigeria. She has served as a reviewer for multiple academic journals and has played a pivotal role in curriculum development within the Department of Home Economics and Food Science. She has mentored numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students, many of whom have significantly contributed to academia and industry. She is actively involved in community-based initiatives promoting nutritional awareness, child health, and sustainable household practices across various local communities. These outreach programs reflect her commitment to bridging the gap between academic research and real-life impact. Dr. Adeshola A. Babayeju is a member of several professional organizations, including the Home Economics Professional Association of Nigeria (HEPAN) and the Society for Home Economists in Nigeria (SHEN). She also maintains active academic profiles on platforms such as ResearchGate, Google Scholar, and ORCID, where her research contributions continue to influence the field of home economics both nationally and internationally. Her academic journey, grounded in passion and purpose, continues to shape the lives of students, families, and communities, positioning her as a home economist in Nigeria. She has attended many conferences, presented papers, and authored papers in different journals. She is presently lecturing at the University of Ilorin, Department of Home Economics and Food Science, Faculty of Agriculture.
