Welcome to the Department of Home Economics and Food Science at the University of Ilorin. I am honored to lead a team dedicated to nurturing expertise in transforming agricultural products into valuable resources. Our mission is to cultivate self-reliance and enhance family well-being through rigorous training and practical skills in food production, processing, preservation, Human Development and Personal Finances, Housing and Interior Decoration, Nutrition and Food Preparation, and Clothing and Textiles. Our curriculum is designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, ensuring they are prepared to contribute to national self-sufficiency.
